This double chocolate hummus is dairy free and deliciously, spoon worthy! It is the perfect, guilt free way to indulge your sweet tooth. With just a little cocoa, sugar, and a few other ingredients, plain chickpeas are transformed into a rich double chocolaty dessert.
Now, when I find myself late at night, opening and closing the kitchen cabinets, late at night for a treat, I reach for a big spoonful of this hummus. It has just the right amount of sweetness to satisfy my sweet tooth and the protein from the chickpeas takes care of any hunger pangs.
I really like that all the ingredients for this hummus are items that are always in my kitchen. And because it is a guilt free treat as well as being so easy to make, I can whip it up anytime the need for chocolate strikes me.
If the kids sneak a spoonful or two before dinner, they don’t have to worry about me stopping them because chickpeas are a great source of protein and fiber.
Pair it with fresh fruit, cookies, pretzels, marshmallows or anything else that you think chocolate goes with.
